What are good gravel bikes?
If you want to know what are good gravel bikes, there is unfortunately no easy answer.
After all, a good gravel bike should first and foremost meet your specific cycling needs. Therefore, if you ask the specialists at Van Eyck Sport, every bike has to be different.
A good gravel bike is also (and especially) used off-road. As a result, it is important that your bike and all its components are sufficiently solid to withstand all the extra shocks and dirt. To be specific: it is best to choose a frame, fork, brakes, gears, ... that is specifically designed for off-road use.
Last but not least: make sure you are comfortable on the bike.
What kind of pedals on a gravel bike?
What kind of pedals you need for your gravel biking depends on the terrain you will be cycling on. For muddy terrain, you simply choose different pedals than for asphalt. If the emphasis is on tough terrain, it is best to choose pedals specifically designed for that purpose.
Can you mountain bike with gravel bike?
A gravel bike is one of the most versatile bikes around but can you mountain bike with a gravel bike? In any case, our specialists at Van Eyck Sport would not recommend it.
Mountain bikes and gravel bikes were developed with a very different audience in mind. Mountain bikers prefer technically demanding trails. Gravel bikers, on the other hand, are real frequent riders who also enjoy a relaxed ride.
This means that your bike itself must also meet very different requirements.
What is the difference between a mountain bike and a gravel bike?
The difference between a mountain bike and a gravel bike is clear at a glance. Yet both are meant for off-road use.
Which one is the best choice for you depends on your own cycling needs.
Do you like short and intensive rides where technique is more important than speed and distance? Then you should probably opt for a mountain bike.
Do you prefer comfortably cycling longer distances at a fast pace? And do you prefer not being too technical? Then choose a gravel bike.
Not quite sure about your choice? Do not hesitate to seek expert advice.
What cassette on gravel bike?
